Yesterday was my second wedding of the year and my first one ever to have a first look! It was the perfect decision for Jeff and Laura Beth :D. They were SO cute together and SO excited to get married :D :D. Their wedding day was super fun and beautiful, so enjoy the sneak peeks below! :D
Yesterday, Justin and Alex became the #LyonsAtLast !! :D. Alex found me on Instagram over a year ago and it was so fun to finally meet and capture her lovely day! :D Everyone was SO kind and just fantastic to work with. It came off beautifully and it was a pleasure to photograph :). Enjoy a glimpse of the day below :D
Congratulations, my new friends!! Can't wait to share more with y'all! :D
Yesterday I shared a review of my 2015 weddings, now it's time for my 2015 portraits! :D Weddings are awesome and I'm so excited to be doing more of them, but I still have a special place in my heart for portrait sessions :). Particularly couples and seniors :D. And you don't have just one shot! you can always reschedule if you have to! Haha.
So! Like I did for my wedding review, here are some pretty little collages of my sweet portrait sessions I did this past year for y'all to enjoy :D.
Happy New Year, y'all! :D And next weekend is my first wedding of the year, so pretty sneak peeks are coming soon!! :D
This past year, I was honored to be a part of 9 wedding days :D. Such beauty and joy abounded in them all and I'm so thankful to God for sending me these opportunities to serve :). And make friends! And dance! And laugh! And pause and smile to myself to savor the priceless moments the Lord has blessed us with in the midst of a whirlwind day :). "The LORD hath His way in the whirlwind", right? Hehe :D. Anyway, because I have so many favorite images from these wedding days, I decided to create little collages that summarize the feel of their day for you to enjoy below! :D. And if you never saw their blog posts and one of these really catches your eye, please click on their names and experience their day! :D
"We met in 2006 at my family's Christmas party. My family had just moved to Texas from California and it turned out that Eduardo's parents and my own had known each other for years, they too are from California. Since we met that night we pretty much have been inseparable since then. We grew into adults together and have known since day 1 that there was something wonderful about us. On December of 2014 we visited New York for a mini vacation and Eduardo proposed while we were walking around Central Park. 2016 marks our tenth year, and it's always been clear that we're going to be together for ever, now we're making it official on paper...can't wait! :D"
They're such kind people (and BEAUTIFUL. Yeah, you're gonna enjoy this post. Haha :D ) and were up for anything (like trudging through tall grass, climbing fences, dodging cow pies and unsuccessfully dodging gnat swarms. Haha). I'm so honored and happy I get to be apart of this time in their lives :) :). And I LOVE her ring :D. Very much the style I've always loved :).
Oh, oh, man <3 Yeah, there's more. Haha.
Eduardo told me about Reyna...
"Reyna (or Queen as I call her) is the cool chick! She is the smiling, bubbly, always-giggling-at-things part of my day. I guess what I like about her is that she helps me loosen up and be chilled out. I love our random dancing and 'karate battles.' I could go on and on, but as you will find out I'm a keep-it-short-and-simple kind of guy. To sum it all up, I love this girl and couldn't imagine my life without her."
Look at theeeeem :D :D !!
And Reyna told me about Eduardo :)
"Most people see Eduardo as a quiet and serious guy, but I've always known him as a shy, quirky, kind, and caring person. He is one of the most level headed individuals I know and helps me see reason when all else feels hopeless. We quote random movies, have random dancing, and giggle together for no reason. I am myself when I'm around him. He is my best friend and I know I am one lucky gal to be a part of his life."
OH, Reyna. You are incredibly beautiful. Man.
Reyna also told me what some of their favorite things to do together were :D.
"We do almost everything together. We are homebodies for sure: movie watching (Harry Potter!), hanging out in our balcony, board games, cooking together, listening to music and dancing awkwardly, people watching, cloud watching, walking around the city, baseball games, hiking...etc. :)"
I like these people. Hehe :D
Just lookin' like models on the road in front of my house. Man!
Love love :D
Then we drove down the road to this enchanting corner of land I discovered a few months before :D!!!
These two, the land, the light, the goat weed (it photographs really well! Haha): it was magic :D :D
Look!!! :D :D
Then we went to our last location: the side of a highway going through some of the prettiest farmland around :) :). It was glorious :D.
So lovely, Reyna :)
I just. Whoa.
The sun was goin' down and we made the most of it :).
Happy happy :D
I love everything about this :D :D
Joy, love, and the last rays of the sun :D :D.
Their faces :D :D
Dreamy <3 :)
It was all so beautiful and I cannot wait for their backyard wedding in the spring :D :D.
