Seth: senior portraits sneak peek :D {paris, tx senior portrait photographer}

It's such an amazing thing to watch your young friends grow up. And it's extra special when you stay friends :D.

  I've known Seth since he was about 7 years old. For the past decade, I've watched him grow into a kind, mature, hardworking, Godly man and it makes my heart rejoice :).

Now I'm 25, he's close to 18, and I got to take his senior photos!! :D Time has flown, but in a beautiful way :).

I so enjoyed last evening and hope y'all enjoy these sneak peeks of my friend Seth :D (and yeah, he's grown into a super handsome guy. Haha :D)

John and Raeshelle: wedding!! :D {seatac, wa wedding photographer}

Thirteen years ago this May, my family and I were in Seattle, WA about to go on an Alaskan cruise! Our ship was setting sail on a Sunday afternoon and we wanted to attend a church meeting before we boarded. Some friends recommended Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church, so we went and that's where I met Raeshelle :D. After the service was over, she and her cousin Jessica (who is the blonde bridesmaid you'll see :D) came over and introduced themselves. We got along splendidly and of course exchanged addresses as any twelve year old should. Hehe :D. Raeshelle and I were faithful pen pals for years! Later on we trickled off, but then not long after, seventeen year old me got Facebook and guess who reconnected! :D So for the next eight years and five months, Raeshelle was my sweet Washington friend who nobody knew but me...until John ;).

Now I met John ten years ago this June at his church, Hwy M Chapel, in Sedalia, MO. My family and I had just attended a good friend's wedding in Kirksville (just a little bit north) and my Dad was asked to come down and preach for them that Sunday. From then on I saw John at a lot of Bible camps and conferences or during my many visits to Missouri (if you don't know by now, I've got a lot of friends up there. Haha) and we became good friends.

So fast forward to spring of 2015 when John announced on Facebook that he got his Air Force assignment to fly C-17s and be stationed in Washington state! The very funny thing is what I said to Mom after hearing the news: "I wonder if he'll be stationed near Seattle. That's where Raeshelle lives! I wonder if he'll find her church. If he does, he'll probably marry her."

Yep, so everyone teases me about my "prophecy" now. Haha.

It wasn't until the following spring that he moved up there and I kinda forgot about my prediction. So I wasn't taking notice when Raeshelle posted a photo on Facebook with a funny caption of her brother and a blonde guy washing dishes. I just "laughed" at the photo and scrolled on. Well, about a week later JoHn Hargrave was tagged in a photo...AND HE WAS THE BLONDE HEAD! THEY'VE MET! IT HAPPENED! So I quickly told each of them...

"He's my friend!"

"She's my pen pal!"

So, it was no surprise when about six months later they announced they were dating ;). The fun thing was all of John and I's mutual friends were like "Who is this girl?" and I'm like "I've known her since I was twelve." Hahaha :D (this Instagram of Raeshelle's is pretty fun too :D)

So last August, twelve years later, I got to hug my pen pal again and photograph the day she became a wife and my friend became a husband. It was awesome :D :D.

Aaron and Whitney: wedding :D {springfield, mo wedding photographer}

Happy new year, y'all!

On this winter day, I'm returning to summer with Aaron and Whitney's precious wedding full of such thoughtfulness, laughter, and celebration :). And even in the midst of the hot day AND sweltering ceremony (the AC quit right before. Oof.), these two darlings kept smiling and the look of love never left their eyes <3. Being a part of their day was a blast (and no, that wasn't a pun about the surprise confetti canons blasting out some of the ceiling tiles after their kiss, but I guess it can be that too ;) Haha) and witnessing their strong love for their Savior, family, friends, and each other was heartening :).

Happy 5 months, 2 weeks, and 3 days, Rowes! :D

David and Jordan: wedding :D {cut off, la wedding photographer}

Today we go back to a sunny day in June, by the Louisiana coast, when the adorable sweethearts David and Jordan finally became man and wife :).
There were tears of joy and tears of missing those no longer here.
Surrounded by dear friends and family, vows were made, sweet kisses were exchanged, Cajun cuisine was consumed, hugs were all around, and Jesus was exalted.

And thanks to Olivia Marie for being my travel buddy and second shooter!

Jesse & Lindy - Austin & Anna: double wedding :D :D!! {columbia, mo wedding photographer}

Aaaah, the time has finally come to share the DOUBLE WEDDING DAY of Austin & Anna and Jesse & Lindy :D :D.

This is the story of two best friends (Anna and Lindy) who moved from California to Missouri to be a part of Redeeming Grace Church. Around a year after moving, God drew the hearts of Austin and Jesse to these lovely, faithful girls. Soon after, God did the same for Anna and Lindy. Two relationships began, two engagements were announced, and then two weddings had to be planned! Well, since it all happened around the same time, both Anna and Lindy's families would have to make a trip all the way from California, and Anna and Lindy were like sisters, why not have the weddings the same day?!

And so the planning began :D :D (with a wedding date only three months away!). There would be two ceremonies instead of one, but one shared reception in between! I remember talking on the phone with Anna about their vision for the day and then just thinking hard for about 3 hours (haha) to make sure I came up with a smooth, efficient timeline.

March 25th came and besides the little rain off and on (which Austin was thrilled about because he said every important event in his and Anna's relationship happened when it rained :D), it was one of the best and smoothest wedding days I've ever been a part of. God was so gracious <3. And these couples were SO great and laid back making my job a dream :D :D.

So, without further ado, dive into the lovely wedding day of four dear people I'm privileged to call friends and family in the Lord :) :).

Paul and Rebecca: wedding :D {southlake, tx wedding photographer}

I'm so happy to finally be sharing Paul and Rebecca's beautiful, spring wedding day from back in March!

From before the dawn 'till the bright, blazing afternoon, everyone did their part to make this day unforgettable :). The guys were hysterical, the girls were lovely, the flowers were enchanting, and the bride and groom were hopelessly in love :D.

Also! My dear, darling friend and birthday twin (just 4 years apart ;) ) Elizabeth Bristol was my second shooter for the day; I'm so thankful for her help and her photos scattered throughout this post :) <3
