Aunt Kathy's birthday brunch {mt. pleasant, tx engagement and portrait photographer}

Last Friday was my Aunt Kathy's 49th birthday and her daughter Amanda offered to make a brunch for all of us girls in celebration :D. That's Amanda you see below: Amanda Diane Tilley (she's been married for close to a year and a half now :) ). The food was GREAT! She did a fantastic job :).

Here's the rest of the gals of my Mom's side of the family (Aunt Kathy is my mom's older sister). From left to right we see Kathleen Ann Wootten (the birthday girl :D ), Michele Ann Greene (mother of mine ;) ), Amanda Diane Tilley (cousin of mine), and Lillian May Malone (grandmother of mine lovingly called "Mamie" by me and "Grams" by Amanda).

While Amanda was finishing preparing the brunch, Aunt Kathy opened gifts :). This one below was from my mom to her; it's a purse by Natty {design&fashion}! PLEASE, check out Natalie's facebook page for her business where you can view her incredible purses for sale!! Each one she makes is unique, handmade, and has a precious name :D. I personally own one ("Trolley car to St. Louis" :D ) and it's sturdy and adorable :). Another side of it is that Natalie has Cardiomyopathy and is in need of a heart transplant; she is only 20 years old. Please, pray that God would provide a new heart for her!

This particular purse is "Wind in the wheat-field" and Aunt Kathy LOVED it!

Here are de seesters :). Oh, and you may notice both of them are wearing button bracelets created by Allix B.! Mom designed Aunt Katy's bracelet herself and Allix put it together :D. That was another birthday gift to Aunt Kathy which she also loved :).

Allix B.: portraits {mt. pleasant, tx portrait photograper}

Behold, the awesome, witty, and fun Allix Ryan Brunson! (Also known in the photography world as Allix B. :) ). She's a very good friend of mine and I love her to death :D.

She's 15 going on 16 (her birthday is in May), but if you had a conversation with her, you'd think she was 18 or older; she's very mature!

She's a deep thinker as well, which makes her a fantastic poet! Check out some of her poetry on her personal blog; you will be impressed.

BOOM! GORGEOUS! I call this her "Here comes my man" look. Hehe :D. (But don't worry guys, she doesn't have a man right now, so y'all still have a chance ;) ).

She looks so graceful and feminine (way to go, Allix! :D).

You see that thing on her wrist? That's called a button bracelet and Allix makes them herself! She came up with the idea of recycling old shirt cuffs and antique buttons and I think it's a splendid one :D. It's so original!

Kayleigh Michele: portraits {mt. pleasant, tx portrait photographer}

People, here is the utterly lovely Kayleigh Michele Driggers :).

She's 21 (single ;) ) and a sweet friend.

This picture is probably my favorite out of the bunch :).

This collage totally captures her personality; she's modest, graceful,..and fun! :D

Seriously, "lovely" is the word I think of when I think of her.

The first day of spring and more :) {mt. pleasant, tx engagement and portrait photographer}

The first day of spring was awesome.

I can't remember a first day of spring living up to it's name like this one did. It SCREAMED spring!!

First, here's a springy beautiful magazine (Victoria: a very feminine and pretty magazine that I really enjoy looking through :) ).

Ok, here's this spring in the flesh ;).

Then I took some more yesterday :).

If you look carefully, you'll notice that I'm wearing scrubs. I'm the office assistant at my dad's dental office 2 days a week :).

My friends Kayleigh Driggers and Allix B. will be coming over in a couple hours for a day of watching Anne of Avonlea, the new Emma (Kayleigh hasn't seen ither, so we're looking forward to being a part of her first experience with them ;) ), taking pictures of each other, and having a good ole' time :).
