Yes, I had the privilege of being a part of
Jessica Shae's Summer Adventure for one day :D :D.
Jessica planned an intern reunion for last Wednesday (towards the end of her internship). Sadly,
Allix and I were the only past interns that were able to attend (and Allix's mom, Mrs. Darla; she was our driver ;) ). But because it was just us three that came, we were able to spend more time with Jessica and her crew :D. We got to the "
Olive Garden" in Grapevine (Haha, that's kinda funny...) and excitedly awaited Jessica and the 9 interns' arrival :D :D. It was pretty funny: Allix and I sat near the entrance and kept getting our hopes up anytime a worker went to open the door for customers. Then, finally, Mrs. Darla said "They're here!" Allix and I looked and the first face we saw was
Hannah Nicole's :D :D (forgive me: there will be LOTS of smiles in this post. Hehe :D). I attacked her with a hug and then continued to attack the rest of the lot :D. Some of the girls I had followed through their blogs and facebooks for a while, and some I had just started to because I knew they were going to intern with Jessica. I got to meet
NINE photographer friends, people!! It was pretty surreal :D. We realized we needed to clear out of the entry way, so we headed to the back room Jessica had reserved for us :). We had a nice lunch and the waiter said we were really quiet for a big group of girls. Haha.
I was just kind of in awe that I was there with 9 online friends of mine (and of course, I loved being able to see Jessica again :) ). After lunch, we headed back to the
Gaylord Texan (the place they stayed at. It's incredibly huge!! And sooo nice and smells good inside :) ). It was time for Jessica to do some new bio shots for each of the interns. While she did that, the rest of them practiced on each other (and Allix and I too :) ). We started out in the parking garage (which was really great for portraits actually! It made a really neat background and the lighting was great!).
Most of the time Allix and I took "behind the scenes" pictures, since this wasn't our internship. Sure I would have LOVED to have monopolized everyone's time by doing a quick portrait session of each girl and spend lots of time with each one, but this time was for them and their learning. I'm just glad I was able to watch them do their thing and have a little time with them :).
And here's the happy and stunning Hannah Nicole Martin!!
My designer and friend :D. By the way, aren't her eyes incredible?!
These girls are good! You can tell they've learned a lot from Jessica :). The way they direct each other into poses, their photography itself! These girls are going places :D.
This is the awesome and charming Hannah Sandersfeld (
Hannah Elise) getting her picture taken :D.
And this is the joyful and cute Madeline Hunt (of
Sofia Hilder Photography) getting her picture taken :). I asked her when we were at the frozen yogurt place (we went there after we took pictures) where "Sofia Hilder" came from. Well, "Sofia" is her
sister's middle name and "Hilder" is
her middle name; she said it represents her love for generations of people being captured in pictures. I thought that was pretty neat :).
Lauren was brave and sat on this ledge for someone (between that metal wall and the ledge was a drop off to the ground, and we were on the third floor). Ok, she was a little scared obviously, but she did it :D.
Doesn't Chelsea's hair look cool?! The colors were put in very tastefully :).
See? It just blends.
Love these girls :D. I love ALL of them, but I wasn't able to get a picture of the whole group.
They were fun :D.
Hannah S. jumped in :D.
Then we left the parking garage and took pictures in a grassy area :).
Allix and I kept admiring the super awesome style these girls had! (and beautiful hair; all of them!!)
Soo cute, Olivia :D.
They make me happy :D.
An opportunity arose and I took some portraits of Lauren :D. Lauren, you're SO pretty and are blessed with incredible hair :).
Stunning.
I love this girl :).
Me: "Now look over that way...and you see the man of your dreams." Hahaha :D.
Another opportunity arose and I took some portraits of Julianna! She's precious :D.
Love this one; such a sweet smile :).
:D
Hey, Madison. You look super pretty :).
Allix was taking some pictures of Hannah, so I walked over and snapped some too :). You're so happily lovely, Hannah :D.
Yes, Hannah, I can't wait till my hair is long again like yours :).
I love how you seem a part of the life around you in this picture. I hope that makes sense. Lol.
Gorgeous.
And just so y'all know, Hannah is very fun :D.
While someone was taking pictures of Madeline, I came to the side and got a few too :D.
Your smile is SO cute, Madeline!
Finally together in person :D.
Allix wanted one too :D.
Notice how Olivia's camera strap blends into her skirt almost perfectly?! Haha :D. I like this shot.
Then it was time to go get frozen yogurt :). Jessica did an awesome job taking care of these girls :).
After dessert, Jessica invited Mrs. Darla, Allix, and I to come back to their room for a little bit while they worked on their logos and blogs :D.
Everyone gathered around to see the logos Hannah had created for them (her talent in that area is remarkable).
Hey there, Olivia :D.
Hehe :D.
And we'll end with this slightly blurry picture I took of Lauren and I. Hehe :D.
Jessica, thank you
again for letting us jump in on the "adventure" for a day :D. And again, girls! It was
wonderful meeting all of y'all in person finally!! I love y'all very much and can't wait to see y'all again :D :D.
With a smile,
